2005

Well, OTSN 2005 is in full swing. In general, dealers report
a rather slow start to the show. Wednesday night a good number
of rooms where already open for business. TSSD did report
a brisk business, even though they were still setting up and not
officially open. They have plenty of their new GIs and Germans
as well as their Civil War Troops in all available colors and
Conte's Mexicans, etc. Ron Barzso has been extremely busy in his
"retirement" having produced the massive Fort Ticonderoga,
Lewis & Clark and a gate wall and round tower for his adobe
building collection. Rumors made the rounds that Conte's new GIs
would arrive, but so far all I've seen are a set of samples in
Minutemen Toy Soldiers' room. Stay tuned for more on these highly
anticipated figures. As usual plenty of vintage and new plastic
playsets and figures are in abundance, as well as metal from various
makers.
I apologize for not having more photos yet - some where too dark
to use (lighting is difficult at best in the hotel rooms), and
I was busy looking for items for my own collection and had a couple
of very late nights (2 am last "night"). I hope you
enjoy what's here - and there will be plenty more to come!
