Toy soldiers and dealers from all over the US and from around the world, began gathering at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield - Schaumburg, IL as early as Wednesday afternoon. Work and other obligations prevented me from making my first visit there until yesterday afternoon. Initial reaction from dealers vary from "It hasn't been very busy" to "I've had my single best day EVER!" From a collector's standpoint I don't see any drop-off from previous years. It's off to a great start. I've already seen a lot of new items and great vintage sets and pieces. And enjoyed the company of many old friends and new.
